Parkour Visions One Year Anniversary Oct 23rd!

We can hardly believe it but the gym has been open for a year now! It's been a very exciting year and we wanted to throw one last obstacle course challenge and party before moving into a much larger space next year :)

Comps are open to all who feel comfortable in their parkour abilities to navigate difficult courses. Spectators are welcome anytime but there is limited space in the gym and we're asking for a donate-what-you-can entry fee to raise funds for the next gym.

Dinner is open to all and always really fun and tasty :) It's organized potluck style for you to bring your dishes but you can also drop $5 in the pool when registering for spaghetti and whatnot from our volunteer chefs.

Saturday Oct 23rd
1:00-3:30 Kids Obstacle Course Challenge
4:00-7:00 Adults Obstacle Course Challenge
7:00-8:00 Play time!
8:00 Community dinner, potluck style or $5 to the pool

Competitors and dinner folk please sign up at http://parkourvisions.org/register/events

We only have room for 30 competitors in each comp. See you there!

Sasuke Challenge 2 Results and Media!

Our second obstacle course challenge saw 10 kid competitors and 15 or so adult competitors through three challenging obstacle courses for time. We managed to run the Adult competition much faster than last time and even had room for a crazy fourth bonus course thought up by Dane :)

Some really great control and dedication was shown by everyone attending: no injuries and very close times on a few courses! Big thank-you to everyone who joined us for the day - especially all of those who donated. You all make up the reasons we're able to continually improve the gym and offer such events!

Sasuke Obstacle Course Challenge

Our first obstacle course challenge was a great success! Familiar faces as well as those new to us gathered on Saturday March 13, filling the gym to participate in the event--either by testing their athletecism, or being audience to those who did. For each group we arranged three obstacle courses of varying difficulty, granting three tries on each course for the kids, and two tries on each course for the adults. The courses included movement specific challenges, time penalties for failures, climbs, swings, balances, and jumps--all with the added danger of trecherous pools of lava. (No one sustained serious injury by the lava.) Competitors, child and adult alike, exhibited fine sportsmanship, maintaining a positive and supportive environment for their peers throughout the challenges.

We'd like to extend a thank-you to everyone who joined us for the day, including sincere gratefulness to all of those who donated. You are the reason we're able to continue to improve the gym and offer such events. These are the things that make our community thrive and grow, as was proven by the overwhelming camaraderie of the day.

Following are the top results for each course and overall:
