PKV at Redmond's Day of Play photos

Today we ran probably 100 kids through a short course demonstrating the priciples of parkour and how to get into it safely at Redmond's first "Great Day of Play" event. It was a lot of fun for all involved, but I gotta say that for a date devoted to play we were some of the only adults jumping around with the kids ;) Both play and parkour are for everyone no matter your age!

Big thanks to Ian and Bacon for volunteering to man the booth and make our presence possible!

Parkour Visions - Channel One News parkour feature

We recently snuck Caitlin Murphy into an intro clinic organized with several teens from the Hutton Settlement Childrens Home for Channel One News. The result just ran this morning and is now online along with some extra behind the scenes! Take a look below.

The Levi Backflip For Kids Project!

Backflipkidsdiagram

This is great :) For every donation raised through his new site Levi Meeuwenberg will stop what he's doing currently and do a backflip specifically for you! Donating $4 or more sends him a text message with your name and backflip order, then he sends back a message through Twitter with how and where he performed your special request.

All of the money raised will go directly to our Jump Washington project which seeks to give the 'parkour vision' mindset to kids who need it and can't afford or logistically make our general academy classes. We successfully raised $7000 last year towards Jump WA and with Levi's goal of raising $3000 we could easily raise $10,000 almost entirely through the amazing parkour community :)

For more info and to donate see Levi's Backflips for Kids post on his site and watch this space for news on how the outreach projects are progressing.
